The problem

Every invitation tool asks you for the guest list first. Upload the contacts, type the email addresses, import the spreadsheet, and only then can you invite anyone.

That is the wrong way round for how people actually invite each other now. The guests are in a group chat. Half of them you have a number for and no email. Some of them will bring somebody you have never met. Building the list up front means collecting details you do not have, for people you have not confirmed are coming, before the invitation exists.

What we built

Invyt inverts it. You make the invitation first, and the guest list is what comes back.

You fill in the event, pick a design and get a link. You share the link wherever the people already are: WhatsApp, a group chat, SMS, email. Guests open it on any device with nothing to install, and they RSVP themselves. Their names, their plus ones, their dietary needs and their messages arrive as they reply, and the list assembles itself.

Around the invitation sits the rest of the planning. A timeline for the event, a checklist that looks ahead rather than back, and prompts for the things that are expensive to remember late. Weddings get a website that carries the day and keeps it afterwards. Companies get a workspace with their own branding for events they run more than once.

Where it stands

Invyt is live at invyt.io. Creating an invitation and sharing it are both free, with payment tied to traction rather than charged up front, and there is no app for a guest to download.

It is positioned directly against the tools that require a guest list first, because that requirement is the thing it removes.
