The problem

Most households have no idea where they are actually fragile, because the question is never asked in one place. Energy, water, food, money, mobility, housing and communications are all somebody else's department, and each one is fine until two of them go at once.

The risk is not exotic. It is a grocery bill that has risen faster than income, a power grid under load, a supermarket carrying a few days of stock, and an EFTPOS terminal that stops working when the internet does. None of that is unusual on its own. What has changed is how often it overlaps.

What we built

Offgridly measures the thing nobody measures. A free audit, two minutes long, scores a household across seven dimensions of dependency and returns where it actually stands rather than a general warning.

From the score it builds a roadmap: what to change first, what that costs, and what it buys. A sized-to-the-household checklist covers the immediate gap, and guides go deeper on each dimension for the people who want to keep going.

The framing throughout is measurement rather than alarm. It tells you where you are and what turn to make next.

Where it stands

Offgridly is live at offgridly.app. The audit and the checklist are free, with no login and no card, which is deliberate: a tool that asks for a sign-up before it tells you anything does not get used by the people who most need the answer.

It is written for Australian households and argues from current Australian figures rather than from projections.
